Beijing’s imported and exported culture trades amount reached 6 billion U.S. dollars in 2018, a year-on-year increase of 17.5 percent, according to the on-going China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) held in the capital city.
In terms of specific categories, the imported and exported amount of Beijing’s core cultural services and core cultural products stood at 3.78 billion U.S. dollars and 2.2 billion U.S. dollars in 2018, rising 24.2 percent and 7.7 percent compared with the previous year respectively.
The data is offered by State-owned Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration Office of People’s Government of Beijing Municipality (SCASAOB).
Dong Dianyi, vice director of SCASAOB, said that Beijing keeps a sound impetus in cultural products and services trades in the animation & game, press and publications, radio, film& television and other fields.
The markets of cultural services and products are continuously expanding. So far, the city’s cultural products and services have exported to 140 countries and regions.
